One installation file and run it to make items:

Select the type of installation:
1. Install the full version on PC
2. Use a portable version (and a path to the flash drive to copy files).
3. Set Lite version (IE engine only)

A similar done in foobar2000 (Audio player) and AIMP 3 (Audio Player)

The Avant Ultimate download size is approximately 43 MB, the USB (portable) version is approximately 42 MB, and Avant Lite is under 4 MB. If a combined installer was used, as you suggest, people wanting the Lite version would have to download an extra 39 MB that they have no need for. The only way to do what you suggest without forcing people to download a lot of extra bytes would be to have the installer include its own downloader that would download the files needed for the option you choose during the install process. That might work out ok if Anderson is interested in doing it.

It's my understanding that anderson is making a new downloader. :)

The downloader that Anderson is working on is a standalone download manager/accelerator (http://tinyurl.com/chvqn8g). I don't think that it has anything to do with changing the way the current Avant installers function.
