Hi.
I have been thinking about some features which should make Avant Browser easier and more convenient to use. These are:

- highlighting the address bar for Secure (https) connections (of higher importance for me - and probably others),
Plus offering the feature of viewing the site identity and certificate;
- easier bookmark importing (optional).

Thank you and keep up the good work with developing the best browser available for consumers :)

Hello welcome to the forum. Could you explain in detail the request? Do you mean the first time you install avant browser, a dialog pops up asking if you want to import bookmarks from ie or firefox or chrome ?

Avant Version; System(also point out it is a 32 or 64-bit OS);IE; Memory Size; CPU Speed;
Optional: Firewall; Graphics Card
For the problems hard to replay, could you add me into your MSN or Skype list if you use either of them? The advantage is that you can let us know the situation in the first place by making some screenshots, sharing your screen or explaining the specific problems more clearly when they happen.

About the bookmarks - the importing process itself is relatively easy, but after importing, all the bookmarks are added into a single Folder, which is put on the Bookmarks Bar - they aren't restored in the same layout they had been prior to export (which was one after another, directly on Bookmarks Bar, with no folder). I am referring to the "Import Bookmarks" feature inside the program, after installation (File -> Import);

So, basically, I was wondering if the layout could be remembered after exporting and restored the same as the original when the bookmarks are imported.

They can keep the structure, just when you import them, avant will create a new folder called mozilla, but the structure will be kept under the mozilla folder.for the bookmarks bar, you can set the mozilla as root(right click on it and choose Set as the root of Bookmarks bar),then the folders and bookmarks under it will show on the bookmarks bar.

Yeah, I'd like to see that HTTP feature myself. Never could understand why they (browsers) never had a color highlighted address bar for secure sites instead of just one little locked/unlocked icon. If you accidently clicked on a link that took you to an unsecure site you'd never know unless you keep checking that little bitty icon. Of course this is assumng if you have the secure/unsecure warning disabled. Some folks don't like those popups, but have to have it on to be notified....
