With all the apps that use hotkeys, it's almost impossible to remember them all. A button would resolve that little problem.
My shortcut app (SlickRun) don't use hotkeys, I just start typing the name of the app I want to run and it's auto-complete function takes over, then all you have to do is hit enter and your app is up and running. So the only hotkey that I need to remember is Windows-Q to tell slickrun to pop up it's text box, then slickrun takes care of the rest.
