Compatibilty with Logitech mouse Forward and Back buttons

I hope it will be possible to fix Avant so that it allows me to use the Forward and Back buttons on the side of my Logitech wireless mouse. It's only the absence of this feature (supported by all the other browsers I've tried) that prevents me from making Avant my default browser. In all other respects it's the best there is.

You can map the buttons with SetPoint.
back: ALT + left arrow
forward: ALT + right arrow

Many thanks, ADukes. That works, so I have now made Avant my default browser! But it would be great if Avant could take care of this Forward/Back button assignment automatically as other browsers (such as Maxthon and MS Internet Explorer) seem to.

Have you not tried setting SetPoint to use "generic button" for the front and back buttons?

This is more a flaw in SetPoint trying to be special rather than let the mouse follow the MS intellimouse standard as default.

I find it's best to use the "Generic Button" setting for the 3rd (mouse wheel), 4th (Fwd) & 5th (back) buttons, as it usually negated the need for "Application specific" configurations of the mouse buttons, which SetPoint doesn't do.

Thats what I liked about Intelipoint.. Had the option for app specific configs..
