Orca multicore optimization?

Post by AlvinPing » Sun Feb 01, 2009 10:00 pm

Is it possible to optimize Orca for dual or multicore processors? Here is a screenshot while Orca is rendering a very long comment thread on Digg:

As you can see, core 1 is essentially maxed out, and cores 2-4 aren't splitting the load evenly. On my old dual core, core 1 would also max out on similar tasks, with core 2 taking only 5-10% of the load. It would be ideal if Orca could be optimized to utilize dual or multicore!

Thanks,
-Alvin

Come to think of it, I'd imagine this would be more an issue with the Gecko engine, and not Orca, right?
