When I try to click on the freeze button, it just says "script error", IE says the same. I used V11 Build FP 3

Main disadvantages:
- cant export settings, rss etc (all except bookmark). to file and import it (for example after reinstalling windows)
- in search engine/standard search there is not prepared settings for google :[
- it should be option during installation to choose where my settings should be (in installation folder or in documents and settings), and installer should move settings from old folder to new
- move Avant bookmarks to IE bookmarks (if i added few more in avants and there is not in IE)
- there isn't all translations from http://www.google.com/translate and this
http://translatica.pwn.pl/index_i.php?a=001
for now it's all i want before stable version

Enabling the online storage feature will backup everything for you.
But if you prefer to store it locally,You may backup the entire Avant Profiles folder located in c:/documents and settings/YourUserName/Application Data.
superfly86 wrote: - in search engine/standard search there is not prepared settings for google :[
Just set the following string:

Code: Select all

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=
superfly86 wrote: - move Avant bookmarks to IE bookmarks (if i added few more in avants and there is not in IE)
You may use File>Export Bookmarks... function & then import it to IE.

You may write a JavaScript function (The new Scripts button function) to add even more translation functions.;)

i dont want store online my settings.
But i want avant doing backup to one files for exampl: *.avb (avant backup) or abb(avant browser backup). + options to password this backup and encrypt. And before we backup we could choose what we want backup.
Copying folder isn't user friendly
Just set the following string:
Code:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=
y, but is should be added as a standard
You may write a JavaScript function (The new Scripts button function) to add even more transaltion functions.
i don't know how

And still here http://gametv.pl/artykul/187/age_of_emp ... warchiefs/#
when we click on yellow text "Obejrzyj wideo", under miniature, when new window open, there isn't scroll bar, and window isn't maximised.
But when we enter directly here http://gametv.pl/video.php?id=810 all is fine. :/

It's opening the exact same window in IE for me.
If you'll look the source code,You'll find the following:

Code: Select all

<a href="#" onClick="myPopUp('/video.php?id=810')" style="color: #FFCC33; text-decoration: underline;"><b>Obejrzyj wideo</b></a>
Let's now look for this function in the JS file:

Code: Select all

function myPopUp(url)
{
	window.open(url, '', 'Width=820, Height=630, menubar=0, status=0');
}
So everything is working as expected. ;)

Secondary PC same as primary but with Windows 7 x64 Ultimate as the OS.

While installing, it would be nice if after the preferred language is chosen, the other languages are not installed.

Also, if the Default (English) language is chosen, it would be better not to install or create the language folder at all.

The small button on the left side of the search bar ... when I double click it, it says "Avant Storage Online" -> "Synchronize" / "Close" ... what does this do? I use IE favourites and hence am not logged in ... what does it sync it with in this case?

Cheers

I take it you're referring to;

Image

I've actually just noticed this myself (namely as I don't use the search bar), and am as confused as yourself as I also don't use the AOS, and equally, would have expected a button with a magnifying glass, to be a search button ....

Clicking "Synchronise", loads the syn dialog, that appears to sync, but obviously can't in my case, so just displays it's progress bar, then vanished.

Unfortunately, packet capture didn't give anything away either, other than of course, the actual connection to the AOS server.

Exactly! And, it does not make sense that the Sync should be related to the search bar. Maybe would have been more appropriate in the Links bar! ..... alternatively, its broken somewhere and double clicking that sign is inappropriately invoking the Sync command.

What about the Language options I referred to? Does the mods think the installation could be done as mentioned? Is Anderson making the installation file or is that work delegated to one of the mods?

Cheers

Anderson does all of the work, from the coding right up to the installation file and initial deployment.

Though I'd not like to see the language files not installed, an option to not do so in the installer would perhaps be a good idea.

Why do you say that online storage backs up everything? It seems to only backup bookmarks, autofills and RSS feeds. Nothing else in avant.

abfan123 is mistaken on the AOS, it doesn't backup everything .... only the items you've mentioned. Settings etc, are still stored on your PC.

I think it must read some config settings, though, as when I log on to my office account at home, the same buttons appear in both places.
