saving [about:config] settings

Postby ZooM » Wed Dec 07, 2005 5:28 pm

When I toggle popup blocker TRUE [dom.disable_open_during_load] after reseting Dr. Orca it's still unchecked [FALSE].

Is it only my PC, or is there any bug with saving those options in config?

Some settings save properly, some don't. This is the same whether you use about:config or edit the prefs.js file directly. Even using the user.js file doesn't seem to work properly. I haven't tried the popup blocker, but I've had this same problem with proxies/PAC files. I believe this problem occurs when dr orca has it's own settings for something that's also in about:config. (When I try to make orca use a PAC file by using about:config or prefs.js, it always reverts to either a standard proxy or no proxy. Since orca's own settings only allow for either a regular proxy or no proxy at all, I believe that conflict is what causes this problem. It may be the same with your popup settings problem.)
