Avant Downloader doesn't delete incomplete downloaded file
Avant Downloader doesn't delete incomplete downloaded file when I delete incomplete job from Avant Downloader's job list.
I must check "Delete Completed Download File(s)" check box to delete incomplete downloaded file but I think that it should delete incomplete downloaded file automatically.

Yes,you need to check "Delete Completed Download File(s)" check box to delete the files stored in computer. Avant downloader is designed that way.

Re: Avant Downloader doesn't delete incomplete downloaded fi
It sounds to me that this is really a misleading wording issue. It's reasonable for someone to think that since it says "Delete Completed..." it would would automatically delete those files which are incomplete.
If checking the box is going to delete the file whether it's complete or not, why have the word "Completed?"

Yes, I noticed this. We'll change a appropriate word or delete the "Completed" word directly.hornakapopolis wrote:It sounds to me that this is really a misleading wording issue. Xiaobing, more appropriate and clearer;
Delete incomplete downloaded files
Removing the "Completed" without an accurate replacement, could mislead people into thinking it'll delete all downloaded files

If change "completed" to "incomplete", how about the files which have finished downloading? That option deletes both incomplete and completed files.

Re: Avant Downloader doesn't delete incomplete downloaded fi
The issue there is people would only want completed files removed from the list, not deleted, surely? (only incomplete files should actually be deleted).
Perhaps a second "Clear List" could work? (where clear list, deletes completed files from the list only)

Re: Avant Downloader doesn't delete incomplete downloaded fi
This is an additional box you have to check when deleting anyway, right? You right-click on the list and choose Delete. Then you get the confirmation and an additional checkbox that currently says Delete Completed Download Files(s). So, the issue of whether or not the user wants to delete a completed file or not is moot because the user is already making a decision to delete the file regardless. If they only want to delete the entry from the download list and not the file itself (again complete or incomplete), they won't be taking the additional step of checking the box in the first place.
Wouldn't Also delete associated file cover everything?

Keep forgetting about that option, lol (I don't use the Avant downloader - too cumbersome and unreliable).

2015 build 8 fixed this problem. The incomplete downloaded file can be deleted automatically now.tomjerry wrote:Avant Downloader doesn't delete incomplete downloaded file when I delete incomplete job from Avant Downloader's job list.
