Audios

Post by radostsguy » Sat Dec 22, 2012 12:15 pm

Hi! I'm trying the Avant Browser. Fine except for 1 little thing. It won't play the Audios on my Site. My Site is huge, consisting mainly of both Audios and Videos of the Masters. (Mozart and the boys!)

The Audios are played using the HTML <EMBED> tag. When you click on the "PLAY" button for the one you want, its URL is sent using POST to the top of the same page, where is it recovered with

<?
$url=$_POST['url'];
?>

and played with:

<?if ($url) {;?>
<embed src="<?echo $url;?>" loop="false" autoplay="true" width="00" height="00"></embed>
<?;}?>

Works with all the other browsers I use. It even works with IE! :lol:

What is Tools>Default rendering engines, set to? Please try the other engines and see whether there is the same problem.

I shall do that. Thank you very much for the reply. If this works, I'll let you know. :D

Ah ha! At last. Changing the engines accomplished nothing. Yet here I am, obviously in Avant, listening to Mozart! :thumbup:

How so? Simple! Installed the latest version of QuickTime! :D

There's a lesson here! Glad to help! :lol:
