Avant Browser 9.02 beta 002 released!

Post by Anderson » Thu Mar 18, 2004 7:04 pm

BETA2:
Improved stability.

BETA1:
In this beta version, i improved favorites functions of Avant Browser:
1. Fly-editting for Favorites.
2. the loading of favorites are faster
3. improved multi-column scrolling display for the large number of favorites.

I am still working on the splitter. I planed to finish the splitter in the beta version, but, I think maybe somebody want to try the fly-editing for favorites at first.

***Note: Please don't link the beta download outside of this forum. The beta version is only for experienced users.

Thanks,

Anderson

Hehe, I'd do that too if I didn't need to test my webpages in mozilla. :)

If you begin to drag a bookmark and then puts it to the same place it opens the bookmark instead of just puting it back on its place, that's annoying.

Nice find.

A work around: drag the bookmark to anywhere else on the screen then let go of the mouse.

You don't.

SP2 is only available to Microsoft beta testers for now. It is expected to be released to the public later this year.

Good work Anderson
but don't forget the freeze problems.

For me the cause of lockups problem, is the AD Filter.
Try turn off and verified if the freeze problem is fixed.
In my case in http://graphicssoft.about.com/ if AD filter is off all is ok, otherwise Avant don't finish the loading.
