Avant Update

Post by gah » Sat Sep 06, 2014 10:15 pm

Both Google Chrome and Firefox have updated on Sept 3 and Sept 2. When will Avant Ultimate 2014 build 7 be updated to reflect these important updates?

Since Avant has not been updated yet for Chrome and Firefox, is it safe to use Avant Build 7 until the bugs are fixed and the new updates are available?

The chrome engine crashes every time you open Avant? Is there any error message?

I get the message, Whoa! Google Chrome has crashed. Relaunch now? I check OK box, but nothing happens. The options and downloads for Chrome appear in the tools menu, but don't open. I have attempted to use Chrome as the rendering engine many times and get the same message or no message. I uninstalled Avant and reinstalled and get the same problem. Internet Explorer and Firefox rendering engines work just fine. I previously used ultimate 2014, Build 7 and it worked very well. Thanks for your help.

Please answer my last post. Chrome rendering engine does not work, firefox and Internet explorer work fine. I am getting messages frequently that google chrome has crashed. Very annoying. What is Ultimate 2015. Build 2 ? This version just became available and Build 1 is no longer available on your site. Does Build 2 correct problems with Chrome?

I have updated to Ultimate 2015, Build 2 and I have the same problem. Google chrome rendering engine does not work. I keep getting an annoying screen message stating Google chrome has crashed, do you want to reinstall? This message pops up most anytime while using the computer. Please fix this issue and let me know what to do. I have used Avant for many years and need a fix or will need a different browser. The annoying message may never stop showing up on my screen unless something is done. Please help. Thank you.

Geesh man, be a bit patient. This browser is made by 1 guy and i'm sure he's working on it.

Just go back to build 7 till it's fixed http://avant.it-mate.co.uk/?c=Download& ... /14_Series

I have used Avant Browser for over 10 years and have nothing but high regard for the program including the various updates. Your version Ultimate 2015 build 2 has a bug, google chrome rendering engine crashes. This is the rendering engine I have used with previous versions and liked it very much. I installed your Ultimate 2015, build l on my old Desltop computer and it works very well with google chrome engine. I tried installing Build 1 when it was available on my new Desktop computer and Chrome crashed just like it does when I installed Build 2 which is the only version available now. The scenario is your version1 worked and then version 1 & 2 both have a problem with google redering engine crashing. I am presently using google chrome, but miss not having Avant as my browser. Thank you

All old versions are available, if you look well on the frontpage of the forum you will find there a topic called "Avant browser old versions", but i doubt it you have the patience for that.

Maybe your antivirus or firewall is blocking something, you better check THAT first.

I have installed Ultimate 2014 build 7 until Ultimate 2015 build 2 has been fixed. Avant works find using the older version, but am I compromising security by using an older version until the new version is fixed ?

Please reply regarding Avant Ultimate 2015 build 2 which crashes google rendering engine. I have reinstalled many times with same results. Ultimate 2014 build 7 works fine, but google is not updated. I have requested and not received any information in my recent posts regarding a fix or revised version. Thanks

Ult 2015, b.5
The Chrome engine continuously crashes on me. I usually get the purple page, where a double click refreshes, but often Avant freezes my computer and I'm forced to wait.
Please help. I like Avant and want to continue using it.

Do you use any exntension under chrome engine? It makes any difference if you disable all of them?
