What to put in your forum profile

The contents of your forum profile are important! When you post a question in the Avant Browser Help forum, we almost always need to know certain things to be able to determine what information to provide to answer your question or to help you solve your problem. The same thing goes for when you post a bug report in the Avant Browser Bug Reports forum. We need to know your Windows version, Avant version, etc. to be able to reproduce the bug you're reporting under the same conditions. Having all the profile fields properly filled out saves everyone time and gets your issue resolved sooner. Please make sure your forum profile includes the following information:

Windows Version

This should include Windows XP, Windows 7, or Windows 8, the Service Pack (SP) level (if any), and whether it's 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64). For example, Windows XP Pro SP3 x86.

Avant Version

This must include the version number (11.7, 2012, 2013, etc.), the version type (Lite, Ultimate, or USB), and the build number (23, 109, 112, etc.). For example, 2013 Ultimate, build 23.

Default Engine

Your default rendering engine is the one with the check mark next to it in Tools > Default Rendering Engine. This is required for Avant Ultimate and Avant USB (if you're running Avant Lite, this field does not apply, so either leave it blank or enter N/A). For Avant Ultimate and Avant USB, enter IE, Firefox, or Chrome. You can also enter the actual engine name: Trident for IE, Gecko for Firefox, or WebKit or Blink for Chrome.

IE Version

Indicate which version of Internet Explorer is installed on your computer. For example, 8, 9, or 10. If you want to put in the full version number, such as 8.0.6001.23252, that's fine too.

Skin

Here you should enter the name of the skin you've chosen for Avant, which is the one with the check mark next to it in Tools > Skins. If you haven't changed the skin, or you don't remember the name of the one you chose, please check Tools > Skins and enter the skin's name. Don't enter Standard, Default, etc.
