Didn't find anything about it, but does Avant Browser use Internet Explorer 9 at its core or does it use previous versions?
Or does it automatically use what you have installed so Avant will benefit from the speed increases of IE 9?

Re: Internet Explorer 9
That thread is informative, but it doesn't actually answer the OP's question.
The simple answer would be that Avant Browser uses whichever version of IE you have installed, but from what I can tell, it also allows you to alter how webpages are displayed by choosing standards from a couple different versions of IE (right now IE7 and IE8 officially).
Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Internet Explorer 9
The current official release of Avant does not fully support IE9 no. You need the test build that was release strictly for testing to be able to use the full capability of IE9's new engine. There will eventually be an official build that has full support for IE9. But remember IE9 is still in beta.

Re: Internet Explorer 9
I am using the test build of Avant Browser right now with IE9 Beta. Before I installed the test build, the latest stable build of Avant Browser was working with IE9 Beta so far as I could tell. What part of the "full capability" of IE9's new engine was I missing?
I only ask because I visited the same couple of sites with both versions of Avant Browser and didn't see any discernable differences. Is it just that certain HTML5 tags, for instance, are ignored using the IE8 standards versus IE9 standards?

Re: Internet Explorer 9
There are big chunks of Html5 and CSS3 that do not work without the test build. If you want to see for yourself.. google "Acid3 Test" and the score will be significantly different with and without the test build.
