IE Version: IE8 x64
So I installed the new Chrome add-on and then went into Preferences -> Add-on's and activated it. Not sure if it's working but Avant still seems to work. Need to try and get a single tab to fail and see if the whole browser fails or not.

Don't understand why you listed the IE7\IE8 Add-on. I'm on Win 7 and could not get it to work in Avant or IE8

Well, according to the article you posted, I think web developers have to add a tag to their pages in order to render them with the chrome frame.

You can force Chrome mode by prefixing the URL with cf: ie cf:http://www.google.com

Yea I wasn't able to get Chrome Frame to work in Avant. But I was able to get it to work in IE6. It was funny to see IE6 get a near perfect score on the ACID3 test.
