User involvement request ....

Post by MysteryFCM » Sat Jul 01, 2006 11:11 pm

With the impending releases of the final's of Orca and Avant just round the corner, I thought we'd get you ladies, gents and geeks involved in updating the help files to go with them.

Would you like to be involved in the creation of the help files for the latest releases?, are experienced in specific parts of Avant, Orca or the technologies* behind them?

We NEED your help to provide the best quality we can. After all, the help files are to be provided for users just like yourselves. Whether newcomers or experienced users, we would like if possible, to cater for both (even us experienced persons get forgetful once in a while ).

If you feel you can help in ANY aspect of the creation of the help files, please get in touch with a moderator.

* By technologies, I am referring to the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues that may arrise from the direct or indirect use of either programs or any plugins that may exist for either.

Just one suggestion to any one who undertakes this ... K.I.S.S.
The best way to write a Help File is to aim it as if for people who know nothing about the subject without talking down to them or being patronizing either.
One thing Mystery forgot to Note was if your contribution is used you will be acknowledged in The Credits.

Most certainly :) ... proof readers will obviously also be required (to tell us when we've buggered up)

I'm extremely impressed with Avant. It has all the features I could ask for. And it's fast/ doesn't tax my netbook nearly as much as Safari/FF.
I guess if there was one thing I thought would make it better it would be multiprocessed windows. So if one crashes the browser doesn't crash. But this is already the best browser I can find hehe. It even looks great!

Edit:

Sorry. I guess I posted this in the wrong place. I'm new to Avant, but let me know if you guys need help with a flash tutorial or something.
