To identify the IP, locate the DNS query and response, the IP will be shown in the packet details window (see screenshot)

Courtesy of Google I came across other non-AB users experiencing a similar problem which was attributed to a combination of Win 8.1, IE 11 and Flash Playe which comes bundled with Win 8 and 8.1. This seems to reinforce my experience as the Security Alert apperas on new pages and/or links from existing tabs where banner ads and other Flash content is prevented from being loaded until the Security Alert is allowed to proceed - but not all the time. It seems random throughout the day on both my laptop and PC which share the same set up and settings.

Interesting. Cheers for the heads up

I own and/or manage over 50 machines, and though I refuse to install Flash myself, I've not seen this issue on those I manage for others that do have Flash.

Since last reply the annoying Security Alerts have continued to appear on both my PC and laptop. Yesterday, when I opened AB it froze and I had to close it through Task Manager. When I reopened it, it had reverted to the basic compact style with new skins and none of my settings. So I downloaded AB 2015 v10 Lite which I had switched to again and instead of using my AB profiles from my PC (I keep both machines with same system and settings) I personalised AB from scratch and compared the settings in my profile on my PC to ensure they were both the same. Since doing that no more Security Alerts on my laptop so I have copied my profile over to my PC without reinstalling AB and since then no more Security Alerts on there either. Now why didn't I think of that before!!!!
Edit:
Unfortunately it did not cure the issue raised in this topic http://forum.avantbrowser.com/viewtopic ... 21&t=34427

I fear I spoke too soon! After 3 days an alert, one single one on multiple pages, has just made its unwelcome appearance. It always precedes a Flash Player Ad (even though Ad Blocker enabled or not) and which my laptop technician who recently restored my laptop for me suggested is responsible for because of the way AB handles/does not handle them. Ho Hum. What a disappointment!
