Rendering engines vs browser installed

Post by Smiley212121 » Thu Jun 13, 2013 7:09 pm

I am using Build 107 with rendering engine IE9 standards. IE9 is installed on desktop, yet I am getting responses from some sites "you are using an unsupported browser, IE 7". I switch to firefox rendering engine and get FF 20 is not supported yet I have FF 21 installed.

Any idea whats going on? IE9 browser direct, no problem. I would imagine IE9 standards would me exactly that.
Thanks.

You may have ie compatible mode set as the default engine when you see this message. See which engine is checked under rendering engine>default rendering engine .
The build 107 does use the firefox 20.0 engine, so you see ff21 is not supported. Next week the engine will be upgraded to ff21.
