USB version and pc version

Hi,

Sorry, I do not know if this problem has been discussed nor if I am in the right place...

I've been using AB for years in my PC. Now I decided to install the portable version on my USB stick. When I run Avant from the USB it always grabs the configuration from the PC and opens the installed PC version and I do not want that because I want a different settings on the USB.

I found out that if I rename the folder in the PC say, Avant Browser.Old, it runs OK from the USB, the way I want.

Is there a way to avoid this and run it independently from the PC installation?

Has your PC version closed/exited when you run the usb version? Make sure all the processes of the pc version in the task manager have exited.

Yes, I made a point of closing all tasks (Avant and ybrowsers) before starting the USB version. Ir still goes and grabs the configuration of the PC...

What configurations are grabbed ? All the settings in Avant browser options?

Launch your avant browser from the avant usb folder;
Go tools>avant browser options>profile and check what location is showed in the field "please choose the profile folder"?

Please provide the following information before reporting problems:
Avant Version; System(also point out it is a 32 or 64-bit OS);IE; Memory Size; CPU Speed;
Optional: Firewall; Graphics Card

For the problems hard to replay, could you add me into your MSN or Skype list if you use either of them? The advantage is that you can let us know the situation in the first place by making some screenshots, sharing your screen or explaining the specific problems more clearly when they happen.
