Oprah & Safari

Post by EricB2 » Fri Sep 28, 2012 10:46 pm

Any chance of getting the Oprah and Safari engines included in Avant? It would be nice for development if I could use Avant to view my pages in all browser engines.

Thanks,

ERic

Well, I know Oprah does alot of talking as a talk show host on TV, but I don't know how well she surfs the Internet.

Besides that, Avant Ultimate already uses all the different major browser rendering engines: IE/Trident, Firefox/Gecko, and WebKit rendering is used in both Chrome and Safari.

Currently, Opera browser's rendering engine, named Presto, is a closed-source software without any external APIs, so Opera browser is the only one that can use it.

Oops, it was a long day...

Any idea how BrowseEmAll does Opera since it is closed source?

Thanks,

Eric

I believe some applications with Opera rendering, also for example Adobe Dreamweaver, have paid for a direct licensing agreement with Opera Software to use the Presto engine for rendering in their own app. I assume this is the same case for BrowseEmAll.
