I am avant user from years ago and this is the first time I have this problem.
For many years I switch computers and taking backups of my profile and install it in other computers and changed many windows and all the time my bookmark is with me without any errors or problems.
This day I took copy of bookmarks.dat only then I uninstall the avant then I did the last new version of the ultimate, when finished I restored my bookmarks.dat copy.
It did not view them. and the size indicate 39k, many trials and searching here about soultions and it did view them.
I copy bookmarks.dat from my laptop , the same, but if I copy the whole laptop's bookmarks folder it gives me them right.
But as they are when I copy my original copy of bookmarks.dat , the avant gives me the bookmarks of my laptop.
I noticed that it is only read from bookmarks.dat.bak, so I did something.
I deleted everything under the bookmarks folder and copy my original bookmarks.dat to it, of course the same no urls.
but When I copied the laptop's bookmarks.dat.bak , the bookmarks appear but of the laptops even the original bookmarks.dat in the same folder with the laptop's bookmarks.dat.bak.
my question, why my avant do need read from the dat, and read instead from bak?
Also how I can recover my original bookmarks.dat?
by the way I did restore point of the windows , it restores my old avant but with zero files under the bookmarks folder.
And I have no account and inline storage.
If the support needs the my bookmarks.dat file I can compress it and send via pm
