Update 27/9/2012---Avant Downloader added support for third party downloaders
We made some changes in 2012 versions compared with the earlier versions.

Here are the details:

1) Changes

1 There are three engines(gecko+trident+webkit) in Avant browser 2012 now

2 The location of IE toolbars changed

3 The stored location of favicons/history changed

1) Changes:

1 There are three engines(gecko+trident+webkit) in Avant browser 2012 now

You can change the rendering mode (engine) for all the new pages in Tools>Default rendering mode

Or change the rendering mode for current page via clicking the drop down list of the green arrow besides address bar:

2 The location of IE toolbars changed

The new lotion is here:Tools>Internet explorer options.
For example: Roboform and google toolbar

3 The stored location of favicons/history changed

We store favicons/history in Temp folder in 2011 versions ; in 2012 version we changed it to Avant profiles-> Favicons.dat/sites.dat So, the settings about history in Internet Options & firefox options lose efficacy.

2) Some tips

1 IE toolbars are only available under IE rendering mode (Firefox add-ons are only available under firefox rendering mode)

2 About downlader: If you disabled Avant Browser downloader (Tools>Downloads>Options>uncheck Take over browser’s file download) Under firefox rendering mode, it will pop up firefox downloader; under IE rendering mode, it will pop up IE downloader.

3 After installing the new version, some settings that comes from 2011 versions or before may lost, please reset them.

4 After installing the new version, the old bookmarks/autofills/rss etc. are still avaliable.
