AB 2011 build 30 very unresonsive to clicks, text cursor mov

I finally decided to give another AB 2011 build a shot after poor results in the past with every version I've tried since AB 11.7 Build 46, and that has been a bit finicky lately, so I updated to AB 2011 build 30 and it's not so good for me. On my XP SP3 (32 bit) PC it's fantastic, fast and responsive, but on my Windows 7 PC (non SP1...can't get it to install like many others) (64 bit), it's upresponsive, I have to double click to get it to do anything, close a tab? double clicking the tab is hit & miss, too quickly & nothing happens, may have to click several times slowly...maybe it'll close, old AB didn't have this problem, all the extra clicking is messing with my fingers, it's also sluggish in overall performance, sometimes it takes awhile for the text cursor to move to another place I've selected, or when using the arrow keys, which can get quite frustrating. But it gets better! I even have to double click the X button to close tabs! Both versions had a tendency to go into "not responding" mode, but I think it's worse now. It seems that pretty much any version runs well on my XP PC, but everything since AB 11.7 Build 46 has been problematic on Vista (32 bit) and Windows 7 (64 bit).

Is it by design that the favorites no longer let you keep scrolling after selecting one? That was very usefull, but now I have to use the scroll bar after selecting each favorite, and that's counterproductive. Since I open a string of favorites at certan times of the day for specific purposes (10-15 in at a time), it really slows me down. If this was changed, please change it back.

Unfortunately, I may have to go back to AB 11.7 Build 46 at this rate.

AB's been one of my go to browsers for a long time, but when progression becomes regression, it's diheartening.

Don't get me wrong, I realize that a lot of omprovements have been made, it's just that performance in all areas needs to be kept high on the list.

I hope this can be addressed, and if it's on my end, then any suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks

Do you mean you hope the drop download list of bookmarks keep opening after clicking a link?

For the performance issue on win7 could you let us know your cpu speed and memory size? Have you enabled the Aero theme?

No, the list stays open, but I used to be able to just use the scroll wheel after selecting a favorite, so I was able to just keep opening them without going to the scroll bar, but now I have to use the scroll bar each time.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit,Intel Core2Duo E8500 3.16GHz, 4GB RAM.

Aero windows theme or Avant skin (not sure if there are themes for avant)? Yes, I use aero in windows, but I use dream skin not aero glass in avant.

Do you open bookmarks via the Bookmarks menu or the Side Panel? I have no idea how to make the scroll bar appear in the Bookmarks menu.

I use the side panel. There's no scroll bar in the menu as far as I know.
