How to remove split screen?

I accidently hit the split screen button and cannot close it. I looked for info in help and online but could not find anything. Any suggestions?

Click Menu -> View .> Split View

I did try to hit the button again but it did nothing. I closed out the tab also. Should I reinstate it?

Do not know what I looked up last time to find an answer to this question because I could not find anything then, but did find one today: To remove split screen: From the View tab in the menu bar at the top of screen, uncheck "Split View".
