| address bar "about:blank" won't change on for homepage (fix completed) |

well, I thought that I'd post this bug here, since it's still not 100% fixed.
current settings for new page button, is to create a blank page. if I click the new page button, and then go to my homepage, which is Google, Google's search box does not take automatic focus. and "about:blank" remains in the address bar. however, if I unhighlight "about:blank" before clicking on the homepage button, it works as expected. this very annoying to start typing, and expecting my text to go into the search field, and find that it's in the address bar. currently using Avant Browser version 11.6 build 19. solution might be to unhighlight anything in the address bar, before browsing to a new page.
When I try to replay your bug according to previous description, I feel no problem here.
I open up a blank page (leave "about:blank" focused) and click on the home button, as a result the google search page opens and the cursor is right in the search box. Could you help me understand and reproduce your bug? Last edited by Jasmine on Fri Jun 20, 2008 4:31 am, edited 1 time in total. |
