I am now using Avant Browser v11.7 build 7 on a system with Windows XP SP3, all updates, and IE7.

My issue has been confimed here:

Here is the problem...

If I open up either the Organize Bookmarks box or the Organize Autofills box, and single click on an item so I can rename it, using the delete key to delete a character will pop up the "Do you want to delete the selected item" dialogue box before deleting the character or characters. So it actually does delete what I want deleted, but first pops up the dialogue box which asks about deleting the entire item.

This happens whether I have a file or a folder chosen. And, just to be clear, it does NOT occur when I click the "Edit the selected items button." Only when I single click an item so that the name can be edited.
