p.s. 'Orca' users must be able to rejoice as I don't see anyone going to this trouble if they were not planing on releasing a new/updated version of it. I agree, I've been waiting a long time for the NEW Orca. I still use the patched one from time to time. I'd use it as is now if RoboForm worked wi...

2007 Avant Updates

It's been awfully quiet on the update front. Is this is or is Anderson working on ORCA now? Was the last release of Avant, the last release of Avant?

Just curious. Patiently waiting for ORCA.

Send via GMail help

When I click an email link from within a web page, My system opens Outlook. I've gon into Avant preferences and set external Email webmail to www. gmail .com (no spaces obviously). Still opens outlook when I click an email link. Is it possible to get Avant to open GMail for this.

TIA

Glad it worked. I can't take credit for it though. It's a fix for a few things from way back. I just thought I'd throw it out there.

If I were you, I'd try a new browser called AvantBrowser. Download it and enable the Ad Blocker. You'd be surprised how well it works.

IE7 slowed my Avant surfing substantially. Nice thing is that once you install IE 7, if you don't like it, you can uninstall it and revert back to IE6 with no adverse ramifications

Re: Internet Explorer 7 Final Released Today

I run AB and IE7, everything works fine. But I hope AB in short time will implement the "quick tab"-function from IE7 - thats cool and nice :) And according to the IE7 interface, Avant should have a lille design-brushup;) -what is the quick tab ...? Thumbnail views of all open webpages\tabs on one ...

AB 11.0.21 New Version Freeze

I loaded version 21 yesterday, This morning I launched the browser and surfing fine. Decided to do a Help-> Check for New Version and the whole thing froze up. Not the computer, just Avant. Nothing worked and had to kill it in task manager.
