Have you tried MS' new PowerToy for WinXP, ClearType Tuner? When I installed that, all text fonts appeared clearer instantly.

The page is coded in avant, just like IE's error pages are. That is reason enough to ditch an otherwise great browser. I tried AB about a year ago. Back then it was continuously sucking an ever-increasing amount of RAM, then crashing constantly. I spend an obscene amount of time on the Internet, so...
