Uhmmm ... I'm pretty sure that Microsoft removed MS Java with SP1. In fact, they were ordered to remove it by a Court of Law. It was removed in SP1a. This means if you downloaded and installed SP1, it was still in there. I also think that SP2 does not remove it, but I'm not sure. I had the same que...

Here is a really great Spell Checker . I put a shortcut to this on my Quick Launch Toolbar, and whenever I copy text, just click the link and it not only checks spelling errors, but also puts the entire text string into the clipboard. It will Spell Check Any Text Which You Can Highlight And Copy. :D...

With a little extra coding, you can get .png support. However, MicroSoft is not going to support it fully without a court order. Here are a few of my .png sig images from some of my Distributed Computing Projects: They carry "live" data summaries that are updated hourly. http://boinc.mundayweb.com/o...

But wouldn't that be stealing? I could never do that! I didn't see the tiny text until I clicked reply, but there is no reason to ever assume there is a copyright claim if you don't see one. If you played the game, then it is already stored on your computer, in Temporary Internet Files. I just use ...

You should not be cleaning SpyWare while you are browsing the Internets. Same goes for Antivirus activities.

You should set them up to run during idle hours.

(And Why is this in Software Reviews?)

SpyWare Blaster and XP-AntiSpy also disable Flash, without regard to Avant Browser's settings. i.e., AB may have Flash enabled, but SpyWare Blaster disables it again.

If it's your own page, aren't you being paid to display this Google ad...? I hadn't read fully his first post :D maybe he just wants OTHERS to see the ad on his site and not have it get on his way when HE is browsing  And yet ... he doesn't want visitors on the site. :? Thank God I already ha...

Sorry you're having trouble with AB. Version 10.0 build 035 ran like a champ for me. Did any of the 10's run properly for you? Did you try deleting your conf.ini file ? Can you post your system specs? I'm going to split this into its own topic so we can better help you. I'm using Win XP Home SP2, o...

I recently downloaded v. 10.0 build 035 which has the same problems as most previous versions: sucking up ever-increasing amounts of memory. The "Fastest Browser on Earth" now takes up to 5 minutes to load EVERY SINGLE PAGE. Can anyone tell me why on Earth a BROWSER needs to eat ANY MEMORY AT ALL? ?...

Avant Browser is probably not at fault. If you are using or have ever used used a download manager, that is more likely causing images to not display, especially iof it's smaller images.

I have been using a nifty little program called " Push the Freakin Button " for years. It's great for ALL the annoying 'Are You Sure' crap in Windows. Whenever one of those dialogs pops up - the kind where your answer is ALWAYS the same - use the button selection tool to select the answer, then tell...
