Hello! Just a quick note to say that I am having the EXACT same troubles as FuzzyLogic. I also run WinXP Pro and constantly have to re-install the Flash Player. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents. Hope a solution is found for this. Thanks!

Maybe Anderson got bought out by Bill (BigBucks  ) Gates and got tons of hush money to keep quiet! Could it be that Bill is using him and his Avant knowledge on Microsoft's upcoming "Longhorn" project? Hmmm... the plot thickens!

Hi! I've had at least 3 instances in the past week where I have deleted a listing from from my favorites drop-down list, and then the list just freezes! The list stays open (top to bottom) and won't go away! I can click on other links and they respond, but the dropped-down favorites list stays in th...

FavIcon Bug? - [Solved Problem thru Research!]

Hello! Since I didn't get a reply to my prior post [quoted below] and my problems continued, I did a bit of searching regarding a recent MS Critical Update I had installed on my system. It turns out the culprit of my FavIcon BSOD crashes were from the MS05-002/891711 update. This update installs a f...

FavIcon Bug?

Hi! I've been having a problem lately when I add a site to my Favorites and then go to the list to move the added site within the folder either up or down to find it easier. If the site has a FavIcon associated with it and I attempt to access the folder I put the new Favorite into, I get a BSOD (Blu...

I have the exact same problem with Win98SE. Like the author, my only get-around is to do my updates from Internet Explorer. One good thing that was finally fixed is Yahoo! Mail. I can now compose and send mail as compared to before when I could only read and delete it. (Had to compose / send thru IE...

For as long as I've been using Avant, the correct method to open a link, while the pop-up blocker is enabled , is to simply hold down the SHIFT key and left-click (your normal way) on the link. This will open the link in a new tabbed window. This is faster than right-clicking and then clicking on "o...

I've been going through the registy and I am having a tough time with this. That damn little program adds about 12 registry keys. The things I think I should change have no affect, still opens IE. This will take me a long time I fear. The registry also calls for the yahoo dll and for the life of me...

Here's how I was able to get Avant to open my Yahoo e-mail program: Under "Tools/Avant Browser Options" click on "E-Mail Client". Then, in the section titled "Web Mail:" enter the following: http://mail.yahoo.com/?.redir=ymmapi10 This will open the Yahoo Mail program in a new browser tab when you cl...

I think you're correct. I now realize that the "Target" setting was correct, since that is where Windows looks to find the executable. As to why the "Start In" points to "Skins", must be that is so it can load any skins you may have chosen for the browser. I still needed to rename avant.exe to iexpl...

Avant Browser not opening ...

I have downloaded and installed the newest version (10.0, build 029), and noticed that unless I renamed avant.exe to iexplore.exe that Avant was not my default browser. Internet Explorer opened instead. Also, for some reason, I noticed that the installed links (desktop, start menu, and quicklaunch b...

found solution to prior post

Hello! :D Since no one directly answered my previous post, I found a solution myself to eliminate the registry errors. I simply copied the "iexplore.exe" to a temp folder, renamed it "avant.exe", and put it back in the original folder. Since I now have both iexplore.exe and avant.exe in the Avant Br...
