Re: Clear cookies problem

Upgrade hasn't actually happened yet. Purging the sessions should've logged you out though.

Re: Clear cookies problem

I've purged the existing sessions, should prevent it getting stuck (waiting for the server to be upgraded)

Re: Top and bottom of Avant

It's been a known issue since the early series 15 builds. Usually minimizing then maximizing Avant sorts it out.

Re: gecko crashing

There's a build 12??

/edit

Nevermind - seems the build 11 post was edited, which is why I missed it.

Re: Avant Browser Crash

I'd suggest if possible, changing the engine you've got Avant using, to Gecko (Firefox). The Trident (IE) engine has always been troublesome in the 14 and 15 series of Avant.

Re: Not so light on memory!!

For the latest version of Avant, you need to change "FIREFOX.exe" to the new (appropriate) filenames (e.g. "gecko.exe", "xbrowser.exe", "ybrowser.exe", "zbrowser.exe" etc).

Downloads dialog

The Firefox Downloads dialog doesn't appear to be showing in the latest release?

The email address associated with that account, doesn't belong to any specific ISP but to a webmail provider. Can you drop me an email, with the email address associated with the account please?

Re: REINSTALLED windows

If you're using online storage -> install Avant and login.

Else, the easiest way by far, is to copy your Avant Browser profile folder over to the second machine.

Folder you'll want;

C:\Users\{YOUR_USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\Avant Profiles\.default

Re: Windows 10

Trident (the engine used by IE) is still going to be present in Windows 10, as is IE, so Avant users need not worry.

Re: Windows 10

I've tested it on the previews and not noticed any issues thus far, so assume it will, yes.

Re: Windows Security Alert

Interesting. Cheers for the heads up

I own and/or manage over 50 machines, and though I refuse to install Flash myself, I've not seen this issue on those I manage for others that do have Flash.

It's likely there's no way of forcing Avant to use the UA it is supposed to. I've dropped a note to the developer, with a link to this thread.

Re: Why do I see "Your PC has Windows 8 but the info on this page is about Windows 8.1. Update now" message but I am on

Bear in mind, it's possible AB is over-riding the values you've specified (you can verify this by testing with another browser). To test: http://ip.it-mate.co.uk e.g. With IE11 and Avant loaded, mine says: User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/7.0; Avant Browser; rv:11.0) like Geck...

Re: Why do I see "Your PC has Windows 8 but the info on this page is about Windows 8.1. Update now" message but I am on

This depends on what you are using (e.g. IE11), and how you want your browser identified.

e.g.;

Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 11.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/6.0)
