Perhaps that button would be a text instead of image, like zoom button [100%], but it should have to functions (as mentioned above).

You can set to show the text of buttons in View>customize buttons.

I also had this problem in 2012 build 6 in my win7, but it has been fixed in build 7 .Not sure if it still persists in vista.

This is how firefox operates and there is no way to disable it, at least I haven't found how to disable it.

There may be something wrong with your conf filess. Try to uninstall and reinstall Avant browser.
I' also use win7 64 bit but don't have this problem.

Have you guys enabled roborform in your system tray?
It's an known problem that roboform is conflict with firefox.
If you use firefox browser, you will find you even cannot starup firefox browser. Avant firefox engine is much better compared with firefox browser.

Use proxy in Avant browser, you should set it in Tools>proxy>customize.
After you set proxy here, you will find the proxy option in Tools>Moziila firefox>Options>Advanced>Network>setting also changed.
