Even if you could, why would you want to? I'm possibly being thick here but I can't for the life of me see what the advantage would be. :?

Welcome back. I hope the move went well.

1) I want an option to install AB as iexplore.exe.

Now that one I'd go for! Renaming avant.exe and all my shortcuts is a bit of a PIA. Other than that, I have no issues at all.

Thanks!

Steve Irwin - the guy who tries to get eaten by croc's every week. I swear the camera crew has a running bet on how long before Irwin becomes kibble.

I use it. In fact I run pretty much the full Object Desktop suite from WindowBlinds, Icon Packager, Icon X, Object Bar, Right Click and a bunch more. Can't stand the basic XP look.

In fact I change the whole aspect of my machine regularly. IMHO, it's worth every dime.

Welcome indeed.

"I hope you find this to be more than just a support forum."

I'm here at least twice a day although it's been forever since I needed support. Great group of folks.

Your best bet is to do a google. There are literally millions of sites of the sort you're asking after. Far better you preview and bookmark the ones that are relvant to you.

Hmm. I'm afraid I'm at a loss then as all my pages open as they should. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along. There are many here who fit that description.

The problem may be, as it has been form many people that the user has not actually closed out Avant before trying to install the new version. If Avant is minimized to the tray, you will think perhaps it is closed, but it isn't and the new version will not install. I had that - drove me nuts until I...

Sorry, I misunderstood. I haven't had or heard of this problem before. Hopefully someone here will have a solution.

You might look at disabling all of the blockers native to AB before downloading to see if that makes a difference but that's a wild guess.

That sounds odd. Have you tried http://www.avantbrowser.com ? The links embedded in the forum work fine for me but I often update from the download link on the main site.

Something screwed up my mouse buttons. All's well on a reboot.

To think I blamed AB. Shame!

gremlins! Now Cntrl+Tab works and the middle mouse button opening a new page doesn't. I've renamed avant.exe to iexplore.exe. I wonder?

Control + Tab functionality in version 158

It seems version 158 has lost the Cntrl+Tab function for switching windows. Cntrl+arrow still works though.

When I use Cntrl+Tab, I lose focus on AB
