Re: Criminal Society

Sorry to hear about that. There are many people that have no respect for others or their belongings. It's quite sad really. When I was young, I was very fortunate with my bike. I almost never locked it up and it was never taken and I used to ride it everywhere. Don't worry about ranting. If it makes...

Re: Operating System Versus Versions

There should be no problems running Avant on a Windows XP machine. I don't believe there was ever a version for Windows 3.11. That wa...

Re: prious bugs - line skip on page down and error indicatio

I have the same thing. The first one is because of the difference between the UK English and the US English files. The second one, I'm not too sure. But either way, you can drag and drop the file into the window.

Re: Edit configuration proxy

You can change the proxy settings in about:config. Change network.proxy.socks to the url, network.proxy.socks_port to the port, and network.proxy.type to "1".

That is a dock application like the dock in OSX or ObjectDock, RocketDock, etc, not a web browser.

Do you have a firewall? If so, make sure Avant is allowed to connect to the internet through it. Refer to your firewall's documentation if you need help.

Re: Help with saving bookmarks as an .html file on my deskto

You can right click inside the command prompt and select Paste. You can type a bar (the vertical line) using Shift and the backslash key which is the key directly above the enter key.

We understand what you mean but currently, as far as I know, there is no code in the wild that takes advantage of the security issues in the version of Gecko that Orca is using right now (3.5.6).

It it still no where near ready for full time use. The earliest estimates for release is in 2011 which is almost a year away. IE 9 in it's current form would most certainly not be the browser killer.
