It would be nice to see the current drop down [paste+go] function also availalbe as a custom button on the toolbar.

Opening new tab's - relative location option

I use Tab's Mix Plus for Firefox and it's an amazing little configurator to customize the tab's interface. I honestly wish that Orca would include some of it's basic features built in. Like opening a new tab, having the option to specify where that tab is opened, ie next to the current tab, instead ...

Re: Avant 12.0 eta?

Kudo's to Kudos!  Thanks man! I got Roboform working in Orca now and can make the switch over from Avant. :) Now if only I could get back my precious fixed/adjustable-width tab's and things would be like the good old days. Also just a little thing I noticed in the latest Orca is that...

I haven't updated it. I stopped using Orca a while ago due to no Roboform support.

Re: Avant 12.0 eta?

Thanks for the update, I overlooked the release notes on that last one. And I am aware of what they go through, but I'm also aware there arent nearly as many people working on this project as any other well known browser so that's also part of it. In any case, it would be nice to get a nice Christma...

So? Progress is slow that's nothing new...

And who said anything about 12's development being discontinued that would warrant such closure? :problem:

Re: [split topic] Browser speeds

When it comes to stability, it's important to be noting what version you're testing especially with regular updates FF and Opera both get in that dept.

Re: [split topic] Browser speeds

I like how Maxthon 3.0 uses dual rendering engines.

Browser Peeper- care to test other browsers as well? Opera 10? K-Meleon?

Also SRWare Iron is a faster version of Chrome.

Re: Avant 12.0 eta?

Oh, Avant staying a one engine browser is much better and it's my preference! After all, adding the extra coding to handle multiple engines, switching, etc. is only another form of unwanted bloat. (I only listed the multi-engine browsers for completeness. :-) ) I can use Orca if I want Gecko engine...

Re: Most User Friendly Search Engine

Well my favorite one Google just got even a little better (because it returns results even faster)

There are other one's that have popped up that are more purposeful for a certain uses like Wolfram too.

Avant 12.0 eta?

So it's clear this has been in development and tentatively was said to be out possibly by late May. Is there any new information from Anderson how it's coming along and should be hope for anything before the end of summer?

Cheers to progress.

Re: Make Avant friendlier for Webmasters? CMS? And more...

I agree plugin's do make the most sense and that's another route people can take seeing as that's how FF does it.

But before any of that I really want to see an even more stable and faster, non-memory leaking Avant 12 come out. I think that's the day I've been waiting for ever since 10.x

Re: Make Avant friendlier for Webmasters? CMS? And more...

From the reaction I got, it is more than clear that no one ever thought about including more with a browser... I thought it was clear from the responses that it has been thought about... and the resounding answer why it isn't so, is simply because it causes bloat . Integrating all these bells and w...

Re: browser:home

What I don't get is why does the brower:home display 'Most Visited' site's that arent really most visited. A quick glance at the url dropdown bar will show the most visited sites. The one in browser:home seems to only display more recently visited sites that I may seen once or twice. I want a column...
