Re: Hi all!

Well, with the version 12 comin out, I suppose it would be possible that the developers have planned for cross-platform compatibility. If done correctly, you would just have to turn a compiling flag on/off to compile for another OS. Atleast in C++... But no one on the forum has heard about any plans...

Re: Avant 12.0 eta?

I would imagine with the major changes planned, it would be an entirely new browser in compairison to version 11. It's like taking all the features version 11 has aquired over the years, and deciding to completely rewrite them.

Re: Flash Player Updated

Flash updates usually tend to go awry - that's why I offer the following advice to uninstall first: * Close all browsers * Uninstall Flash - Uninstall tool * Remove folder %windir%\system32\Macromed\Flash\ * Reboot computer * Reinstall Flash ActiveX Plugin (if using Vista - run as administrator) Ye...

Re: Flash Player Updated

I updated Flash Player the other day and have had nothing but problems since. Sometimes in Avant, Flash just doesn't load and I have to retart the browser to get it to work.

(I had to Tinyurl it, because one of the words in the URL was converted to asterisk for some reason... Preview URL)

Anyways, poor guy... That's kinda messed up, but I just can't help but to lol a little...

You said, " If you just don't care, then you're just another person I see without common sense. " To which I said I have no idea how you're tying those two things together. If someone disagrees with you, but bother bother to respond, they don't have common sense? Explain that to me. (And in regards...

Whah? You're tying apathy and common sense together without absolutely no support. Unless you're trying to use the "Joe example" above... which reads as if someone just went to thesaurus and incorrectly pulled out the word "apprehension" ...Much like the kid who uses the thesaurus for the first tim...

When has "the American Dream" ever not been about being well educated and having a high paying job? I don't think there's anything "new" about that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the dream to have a job, period? Well, I guess you're kinda right... After college, all people want is just any jo...

I sent you a copy... which reminded me, it wasn't a link to her profile, and was a link saved by Facebook. I guess whenever a link passes through Facebook server, it's logged and moderator later. Imo, would be better to display a splash page say, "You are now leaving Facebook" with a link to continu...

Also, Avant Browser will inherit must bug fixes and core changes to the engine.

As for the currency thing, I actually have gadgets completely disabled, but iirc I could change currencies but they were never saved. It would revert back to the default currency.

Re: Facebook botnet: Is your computer helping it?

Someone I know who uses Facebook came to me, and ask me to check out an email for her. It was an email informing her that she had a new message from one of her well known friends, but in the preview of the message (from within the email), she was alarmed to see that something just wasn't right. RTM is final, but the downloaded evaluation was RC. It almost seems as if the evaluation was actually hard coded to prevent cracking. heheh... I don't have the RTM version, but I'm pretty sure there's atleast that difference (seperate mechanism for evaluation) in it even with Windows updates. There ...

in fact the source of the problem may not even have been identified yet No offense to anyone, but it seems to me that this is clearly a problem with flash player and the IE engine, but not Avant itself. Yes I could be wrong, which isn't uncommon... And yes Anderson could deticate some time to make ...
