Re: Homeland Security says to disable UPnP

Glad you got it rectified Sara. I sorry I did not think about the little utility (free) at http://www.grc.com/unpnp/unpnp.htm that does it with just a click.

Anyway it is one of the better sites in this respect.

We miss you. Come back soon even just to say hello.

HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT="15"

I believe for every html page the above is or is should be inserted.
It is the web designer who does this. the number 15 can be changed.
This is inserted at the top as a meta tag I think.

Quirks Mode

Ever wonder what mode our forum site is setup in? It is the standards mode. Some sites still use the quirks mode. Mostly because lots folks use old browsers. I read that Ebay & Amazon use the quirks mode. Studying html/html5/css is lots fun. A good site for that is www.w3schools.com. For quirks info...

YouTube is the third most visted site on the Web. YouTube has streamed over 5 billion video's. this info refers to 2010 as I understood the article.

Hulu had 500,000.

LOL! not at you AX my good friend, but the name of the browser. Tks Tinman57 for taking time to explain Netscape's history with Mozilla.

Google other day paid Mozilla quite a few million for right to and use 'google search '.

fierce competiors they are in regard to browsers.

ADS

ads(alternate data stream) as I understand, does pertain to XP. It has been reported that browser hijackers use ads. Anti-virus programs do not scan for meta data I have read. Meta just means small pieces of data. There are free utilitys that scan for ads. view http://www.merijn.nu/programs.php This...

Also I flush ATP with following command on run with "netsh interface ip delete arpcache"

Also could flush Prefetch. There are free utilitys to do that. Not time to list. Gotta leave
