May I suggest using Revo for unstalling Avant. Use advanced mode. It was free, guess it still is.

An of course reinstall.

The best free version uninstaller we have used is "Revo Uninstaller".

Use it here instead of Windows Add/Remove.

One note: Use advanced mode.

I can only speak for my stable version. See profile.

Avant here is a shell of IE8. No tri-engine.

For some backup on Security, Using Spywareblaster. winpatrol, IE8,

etc.

I don't know anyone who has/or useing it. However I did a google
search on it and found a indepth article at http://www.technewsworld.com/story/68878.html

Their home site(browser) bills it as the world's only triple engine Browser.

I see in threads from time to time mention of onFocus and onBlur. Here is a short list of thse two amd others Mr Che has to work with these engines. I love setTimeout. Under about on this Xp version it does have quite a few plugs-dll's. Iis has a plug-in dll for Site Advisor Why I don't know. I have not been to-deeply in/how to install any add-ons for it. I not referring to Apple QuickTime, etc. But,not much for loading a browser down with (with to many add-ons )....
