Heres a tip: Why not zip up/back up your old copy, then install the new one or install it right on top. If you don't like, just restore your old one. Just a thought as this is the way I do it. :)

Running AVG Pro w/no problems. Also running Sygate Pro Firewall and as always on the initial boot, it asks if I want to allow the "new" version, which is what its supposed to. :)

Been Avant user for about +/-2 years now but decided to experiment w/FF and Maxthon "just for the heck of it". Loaded 'em both, configured to my liking and started surfing. Was looking for increased speed of loading new pages mainly. After 7 days, the most SIGNIFICANTLY fastest browser was Avant 10....

If I want the first programmed tab OR the last one that is at the top of my screen, say the last one, what do I do to have it open when starting up? It appears to default to the second to last to the right. This isn't a hard issue, but aggravating sometimes. :)

Positioning tabs to a "default" position

Been reading most of the day on how to move/position tabs. No problem moving them, but how do I open avant to the FIRST or LAST positioned tab initially after they're arranged to my preferences? Have already been into the Avant Options, maybe I missed something?

Thanks for the links, got 'em all! This new beta browser is by far the fastest of all! :) Heard so much about FF and Maxthon just had to try 'em, but after 1 week it was just a waste of my time. Avant is no doubt the FASTEST and BEST browser available! 8)

OK, got it figured out. I use WindowBlinds and the particular blind that I was using at the time supplied the button in the upper left hand corner to "roll up" the screen and put me back to the desktop. I thought it was the new version of Avant. Only way I figured it out was to restore my hdd...

Rollup screen?

Using 9.02 beta 9, the very top line when browser is open gives you the location where you are. I used to be able to click on the icon and the screen would rollup. Thought that was a slick feature, but either its been taken out or I have mistakely clicked on something I shouldn't have. If clicking o...

Taran, sorry about the problem, but it may be '98. Reason I say this is because I also run WB, have the Z skin and have not encountered any problems w/WB and Avant. I'm running w2k sp4 but your problem isn't a new one. If you run a search for Window Blinds, you will find threads that do address the ...
