Usually "speed increase" means the speed of the application.. browser starts faster.. or accesses the IE DLL files faster (which when they do that DOES speed up your web browsing because the page rendering is done faster.. you still DL at the same speed)

Re: Again

Then why when I run Netscape 7 browser On the splash screen written "Powered by Netscape Gecko (TM)"? *sighs* Because you never bothered to read the history of Netscape, Gecko and Mozilla? It's interesting reading.. even made a documentory of NS's release of their engine which they called Gecko.

Re: Again

Now more users being to use Firefox and already some 15 security vulnerabilities were found in Firefox/Mozilla and some of them still unpatched I'll bet ya any major holes have long since been patched. 1. Secure.. a lot less likely to have something bad sneek onto you computer with FF. Not really I never got any spyware/adware/malware with internet explorer Same here, after spending much time settng all the security settings the right way. Point is, IE's embeding into the OS made it a prime and e...

There are two things you have to remember with Firefox that are really different from IE. 1. Secure.. a lot less likely to have something bad sneek onto you computer with FF. 2. Compliant.. FireFox follows the W3 standards while IE is falling way behind and is not. If a site needs just IE to prose i...

At least with firefox you have to tell it to install the spyway... so you have to be mainly a moron to get something installed.

I only permit mozilla to download and install any .xpi's. That way you know WHAT your getting.

Re: Two improvements suggested

First, I went to AvantBrowser.com and the page only comes up in English. A lot of websites are programmed to display the page that's in the language that the user's browser is in. That's ridiculous.
