Re: time and date

Now that MysteryFCM corrected the time problem on the server, you may need to do the following to see the correct time on the forums: Go to the User Control Panel, click on Board preferences, change your timezone to a different one, and click Submit. Then change it back to the correct timezone, and ...

Re: time and date

I just sent MysteryFCM an email letting him know about the time errors. The server is set for Beijing time (UTC +8), so it's apparently something in the forum software that's not adding or subtracting the correct amount of time to show the correct local time per your settings in User Control Panel >...

Re: Down arrows in Search Bar are erratic

The focus can be anywhere in the Avant window. It doesn't matter whether it's in the Address Bar, the Search Bar, or somewhere else. It is 100% repeatable. Some additional observations: 1. The problem happens only when I use the task switcher (Alt+Tab) to switch TO the Avant window. Using the task s...

Re: Down arrows in Search Bar are erratic

Task switcher is alt+tab? What way you use to get the text cursor to appear in the Search Bar or the Address Bar?(shortcut or left click?)
Yes, Alt+Tab. I'm left clicking in the Search Bar or the Address Bar to try to enter text (after I've moved the focus back to Avant with Alt+Tab).

Re: Down arrows in Search Bar are erratic

When the mouse cursor is over the Search Bar, but the Search Bar does not have the focus, the down arrows for the search engine and the search field appear, but the down arrows for the Search button and the Search Page button do not appear. If I move the cursor off the Search Bar, the search-bar and...

Yikes! I don't think I've ever had more than 80 tabs open at one time. Right now, with 50 open tabs, firefox.exe is using a little over 700 MB.

Re: Do a " Chrome only" (classic version)

As far as the engines themselves are concerned (in Avant, not the full browsers), Gecko uses a lot less memory than Trident or WebKit for the same set of open tabs, at least on my systems. That's one of the reasons I rarely use the WebKit engine -- it uses at least twice the memory that Gecko uses. ...

Down arrows in Search Bar are erratic

Build 113. The down-arrows for the buttons in the Search Bar appear and disappear under different circumstances from one time to the next. With text in the search field, the down arrows usually appear when your mouse cursor is over any part of the Search Bar. When you move your cursor off the Search...

xiaobing, I think Arandora is referring to the favicons for the Bookmarks and Autofills, not open tabs or Tabs Bar buttons.

Re: --Three Question

1. The nine "options" you are referring to on the left are the buttons in the Standard Buttons toolbar. To see the Menu in the current builds, click the A in the top-left corner of the Avant window. The Menu includes 'Avant Browser Options...' and 'About Avant Browser', which will tell you the versi...

Re: want to start from scratch

1. Uninstall Avant using the free version of Revo Uninstaller in its Advanced mode (http://www.revouninstaller.com/start_freeware_download.html). 2. Search your computer for Avant and delete anything you find (Revo will probably get everything, but it doesn't hurt to check). 3. Download the version/...

Border color remains changing from new to classic skin

Build 113.

If you choose one of the new skins with a different border color from the default skin and then change to one of the classic skins, the border color remains the same as it was for the new skin. After closing and restarting Avant, the border color goes back to the initial color.

Avant Browser Options is the last item the Tools menu. 2. If you're asking about the Search Bar, right-click on the ...

Re: Window Snapping in window 8 not working

In any build of Avant 2013 from build 100 on, the Avant 'window' will not respond in the expected manner to any Windows or third-party application function that attempts to resize or reposition it (or even to report its size). The reason is that the Avant 'window' is not really a window in the tradi...
