Re: Saying adieu

Hope that you are enjoying school again. I too am preparing for my midlife crisis and have only two quarters left to get my Systems Admin degree. :D I haven't posted here much but have never felt the need to. The search function works great and for most every question I have ever had, someone else h...

Re: Freeze on pages with much info -Avant Browser 11.0 Pub P

I get the same thing here too. Avant locks up for about 15 seconds or so and the gives the Not Responding message if you try to change tabs or close the browser. After time goes by it unlocks and works fine again.

Re: IRRITATION / SUGGESTION concerning the Beta Bug Forum

"Numerous bugfixes" always seemed a little vague to me. It's obvious from reading the topics here that there are numerous bugs so it would be good if things were specified so that one can tell if their bug was addressed or not when upgrades are released. I fully understand that computers are finicky...

Re: HELP WITH DEBUG. Unconfirmed Bug here "Only"

While using IE Favorites as Bookmarks, when I right-click a saved favorite from the Bookmarks menu and choose to delete it the browser hangs for a very long time before offering the confirmation dialog to confirm the deletion. I also have my Favorites on the Start Menu and if I try to delete them fr...

Re: Violation to ****'s Law

Sounds like it to me too.

Click "View" from the menu and check to see if there is a check mark next to "Compact Style". If there is then click it to disable.

Re: CONFIRMED Problem with RC2 HERE.

On exit of Avant Browser I get an "Application Error" message box saying: "Exception EInvalidPointer in module avant.exe at 00004401. Invalid pointer operation". This happens since RC1 and has not been fixed in RC2. Rgds. Fran I had this same error when updating from version 10 to the first beta (I...

Re: Avant 11 beta 4

Yes, I saw that post but it doesn't explain why something that worked well was changed in the first place. At least have an option to use the old method or at the very least include some instructions when a feature is changed or added so that some of the confusion is cleared up. The staff here seems...

Re: Download Manager Support

Works fine here with LeechGet. Is Avant set to be your default browser? I've had issues with DAP and LeechGet if you don't have the default browser set properly.

Confirmed. I have been unable to determine a common action that causes it though. It just seems to happen randomly.
