Is Avant compatible with Edge?
I want to move to Edge. But I couldn't find much information about Avant and Edge engine. An old post said that there are no plans to adopt Avant so it works with Edge. Still?

Re: "send a link" has disappeared
If a mail client default program is not installed, the "send a link" option will not be missing, but when trying to send a link one will get an error message.
What we are talking here is a feature that was INTENTIONALLY removed from Avant, and we aske for it to added again.

Re: Microsoft realized their mistakes...
Why only focus on the missing features, while Avant lacks the basic stability and functions so poorly?

Re: Microsoft realized their mistakes...
I completely agree with MBRAZIL. For me the worst problem is the memory and CPU consumption of the new versions. (And yes, I use the Crystal skin) I cannot open more than 5-6 tabs without Avant going crazy on the memory scale. My routine handle of Avant is once in a few minutes killing some ybrowser...

Re: Frequent freezing
I am experiencing the same problem, and have complained about it in the past - without any real solution. As other members have noted, unless Anderson put some efforts into solving Avant's basic problems (freezing, focus, favicons etc)- this browser is unfortunately, doomed. I really want Avant to b...

Autofill add-in for firefox
I use Avant light, that it Internet Explorer engine only. Sometimes I use firefox itself (not on a regular basis). What I really lack in Firefox is the Autofill feature that Avant has. Firefox does have auto complete password feature but its not like Avant where one can click the Autofill entry (boo...

Re: but going backward
I am so frustrated with Avant that I hardly use it anymore. It was my browser of choice for 10 years, but there have been some bad changes that I prefer to give up it's plus features for a more stable browser. A few years ago Anderson said that the advantage of the multithreaded engine is that if on...

Great.
Will it copy the the autofill entries only, or other data as well?

Exportin autofills
Is there a way to export autofill entries to another computer which runs Avant as well?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: An exercise in logic
This is really annoying. My assumption is that the majority of Avant users, use the basic Explorer engine. In this aspect Avant had some advantaged over IE. However, I really cannot see the need of an independant browser who uses the Mozilla engine, considering the capabilities of Firefox and the ma...

Xiaobing, what your are saying ("Many bugs cannot be fixed") is astounding.
Am I to understand that Avant will continue to be flawed and that there is no hope?
Amazing.

Re: Build 108 is a huge disappointment!
I guess that one of the main reasons to what happening is that Avant is single handed being developed by one person. Other browsers are developed and updated by teams of dozens of programmers, UI people etc. As talented as Anderson can be, this modus operandi must result with constant problems. We m...

Re: Build 108 is a huge disappointment!
My problem is that Avant, in its core basic, is the best browser. So, the many bugs and flaws are not just enough to force me to move to a new browser (though, now I do use Firefox, in addition). I just halfheartedly grind my teeth and use the flawed Avant. For me the focus problem and the huge CPU...

Re: The most annoying changes and omissions in build 107
I totally agree with the reservations from build 107. I really appreciate Anderson for the enormous project he has been single handed creating over the years. But, usually changes in the functions of a program or its UI come as a response to users suggestions/requests/complaints. I do not recall any...

Re: Bookmarks bar - in two rows
This is not a good solution.
First it would limit the browsing space.
Secondly, it would display a long link of all the Links folder while i want to choose which link will appear in the Bookmarks bar.

Bookmarks bar - in two rows
As it is now Avant can display only one row of the Bookmarks bar and if there are more bookmarks they will appear in the drop down menu to the right. It would be beneficial if one can choose to have the bookmarks bar in two rows so all the bookmarks from the right drop down menu would be visible. Ju...
