Avant Browser

Avant had many issues, I reported many of them, one of most important was lilac pages crash, the last one is non-working Adblock / uBlock Origin, that was too much, so I had to switch to Firefox definitely, after 15 years. :( Goodbye, Auf Wiedersehen, Au Revoir, Sayōnara, Adios, Avant Browser. :cry:

Confirmed, I have more issues like this, some reported, like facebook doesn't work with FF engine, icons, chat... reddit, video loading problems, white screen on some pages, even refresh doesn't work, just duplicate works as workaround...

Anyone else has this problem? I will upgrade to 1903 once, so it would be a problem for me...

I can't confirm this issue. Tested also here. I'm using version 2019 build 2 USB, Windows 10 64-bit 1809.

I found a solution / workaround, switch this option to false:

xpinstall.signatures.required

I can't enable that option, it's greyed-out.

After the latest changes in Firefox, Avant update is needed more than ever!

Now I tried to use a button "Find a Replacement" for one extension and this message shown:

"This add-on requires a newer version of Firefox (at least version 63.0). You are using Firefox 62.0."

I think Avant will be unusable soon, without a Firefox engine update.

Almost all Firefox extensions have been disabled in Avant, even Adblock Plus and uBlock Origin, they have been moved to "Unsupported". When I tried to right click and select "Find updates", it just blinks and nothing happened. When I try to manually download the latest update, error message is shown...

Anyway, it depends on how you are using Avant, which engine(s), features, extensions are you using, but it would be better to start a new topic.
