I noticed with Build 117 the Flash menu doesn't work anymore. Anyone else have this problem??
True, it's not working for me either. Don't know since when, though, since I have almost forgotten about it. (it's enabled)

Re: Recently opened pages

nimmer_dk wrote:Hi,

It seems that the number of recently opened pages is very reduced in the latest beta builds (from 112 and up, I think). Is this on purpose or is it a bug?

nimmer
True, hadn't noticed it. It's very useful to have a long list, so if it's possible, then I'm all for making it customizable :)

Did new build's installaion ask you to close downloads? Please download it again, and while download is processing, close Avant to see if the download is also closed. Done just that, and it didn't close the download window. (the avant.exe process didn't dissapear until the download window was finis...

I don't know how long this has been going on and I guess it's not really a "bug"... just more of an inconvenience. When you edit URL Aliases and Quick Search items, you must always type something in for the first entry ( Alias or Shortcut ) and press Enter to move to the URL field. If you press Tab...

Same link as build 114? Gives me build 114 (tried downloading three times, switching browsers, with and without download manager)

Well, you could always first copy the address and then write what you need to write in the second tab and paste the address. That said, I'm not sure I completely understood your point, so it might be annoying for you. If anything, this should be configurable from the options menu (I know some browse...

Who, me? I don't understand. I thought you were going to put an option under AB Options? Use full or limited history in address bar autocomplete. Same confusion here :? Hello I've been found another bug : When you have 2 tabs opened and write something in the address bar of second tab then go to fi...

And stability. There's a usual crash (at least for me) where ctrl+F (find) will often make Avant crash (hang for about 5 seconds and then show the standard Windows program fault error). I can't find a pattern, it's not by some particular pages, it's just it feels that "after a time of running" Avant...

Yeah I had read that (that's what I was replying to, in fact), but understood that he was going to wait for the next release (not the one he expected to release this weekend) because he would need the translations for this option. Well, don't know if I understood wrong or not, we'll see when the rel...

Anderson: congrats on the Unicode fixes, But please don't leave the autocomplete fix for the next release -- either leave it as IE handles it (having a good autocomplete) or leave it up to user choice. If you just reduce the autocomplete function to work as it's working in the betas, my guess is man...

Good observation :)

Both cancel the check... "yes" should be removed.

I can't help but request this as well; Avant must have a no-skin mode which uses Windows' visual style (or just the classic look in pre-XP), particularly for the "windows traditional" "skin", which uses the old 3d button highlight instead of the one used everywhere else by any other application (in ...

It's not a problem, it's my decission. IE has a bug that cannot delete all history completely sometime. Because of this bug, you will still get auto-drop-down URLs after clear all records. I choose to display fewer URLs, but keep your privacy. You know, sometime, it's annoy that you cannot hide URL...

Yep I know, but the features the toolbar has (which are more than the Google toolbar) are nice to have in Avant; and the Google toolbar could be made to work in Avant by Anderson.

It doesn't do anything Google Desktop doesn't I think, and that doesn't need its own bar. Yes it does do more than Google, starting by the fact that you can actually interact with the files since the search results are not HTML listings... Can be improved though, but definitely better than ...

I would also love this toolbar in Avant, particularly because it has features not found in other all-in-one toolbars.

MSN desktop search is a very promising software and having the toolbar work with Avant will help Avant against other "competitors" :P
