Re: How should I use Avant to remember my logins and passwords on webseits?

If I try another version of Avant, where is the history of surfing preserved, in which folder?

Re: How should I use Avant to remember my logins and passwords on webseits?

Once I am using Firefox, I am getting the preserved Login and Password implemented (filled out).
What about Avant?
I can see Avant is trying to preserve them; but how can I call them back?

Re: How should I use Avant to remember my logins and passwords on webseits?

What should I be thinking?
Nobody will still be using WinXP? Or else:
Nobody will still be using older versions of Avant?
Lol ;-)

Re: How should I use Avant to remember my logins and passwords on webseits?

I have found out that Avant version (2016) 5 is somehow working with WinXP.
I would appreciate if someone could correct me in this case within a longer experience; maybe, I am mistaken.
Thanks in advance.
Perhaps, it should be a version between (2015) build 10 and (2016) build 5.

Re: How should I use Avant to remember my logins and passwords on webseits?

Thanks.

This old version works fine with XP; I've lost a huge amount of time to come to the truth;-)

IE8 on my machine is too old;
Firefox can be used as a standalone app;
Chrome is missing, but why???
It is a portable version downloaded from your download.

Re: How should I use Avant to remember my logins and passwords on webseits?

Hi, hornakapopolis Thanks for the lines that took your time. I couldn't differentiate between the both things. I understand that is more preferable not to preserve passwords on any machine. However, I would like to be aware of how to do so. I can see that your preferred engine is Chrome. In Default ...

How should I use Avant to remember my logins and passwords on webseits?

I do intuitively understand that AutoFill should automatically suggest any remembered passwords after Avant has asked to preserve them, but I cannot see them. While I next time visit the same website, I have to introduce the same login and the same password; Avant suggests nothing. Maybe, I have to ...

Arrows <----> make me puzzled

Hello, guys Arrows <----> make me puzzled, but not always, all the time through. Most time they are grey. I was unable to make a systematic view on that issue. I never took it as a problem with other browsers, meaning it would depend on the website in question. To combat the problem I have to turn t...

Re: I must regret and reject Avant

I have viewed all the older versions of Avant again and stated that I can properly use the version 11_07_Build46 USB only, which does contain only ONE instance of Avant if running; the newer ones let 2 through 4 instances running aimed for use with 2 to 4 kernel processors. I can't see the reason to...

Advanced browser was never adware.

Re: I must regret and reject Avant

I don't want to hurt anyone here. I merely think that any dizzy offering to download the latest version is not worth the attention of all users; instead there must be some indication like ... 'the latest browser for multikernel processors', etc. I will not think that now some 90% of all users have a...

Re: I must regret and reject Avant

Just a slight correction "Advanced Browser" is NOT related to Avant Browser ;) If you do not relate it to Avant Browser, it does not imply that it is really not related to: _www.advancedbrowser.com/screenshot.htm So far we can see, Advanced Browser has a bit more attractive and intellectually more ...

Re: I must regret and reject Avant

To run Avant 2012 properly you would have to run a 4 kernel processor appropriately. However, what is the share of such processors among real users?! 5-10-15% ?! - A the rest would like to find older versions still OK.
PLEASE LET THEM STILL BE DOWNLOADABLE!

Re: Error: '2.0' is not a valid integer value

Although the notion of beauty is a metaphysical one, and none can define it precisely, I do find that the fine nuances differentiating the interfaces of the older Orca and the latest Avant let me say that the former one is a bit more favourable in my opinion. And all the skins available in the lates...

I must regret and reject Avant

I stuck firstly for Advanced Browser, then for Avant Browser, and at last for Orca Browser. Some day, I got troubles with Orca supposingly due to my system's problems. So, I had to switch to Advanced Browser again. Unfortunately, even the Ultimate version is far beyond any criticism. - Even its old ...

Re: Error: '2.0' is not a valid integer value

My problem now is Error: '2.0' is not a valid integer value but no longer NSIS Eror! So far, I have installed the latest Avant , but I do not like it as compared to the older Orca. In the process manager I can see at times several ybrowser.exe files processing (!!!) plus the avant.exe process. At la...

Re: Window appearance

I'm teaching aesthetics at a university, so I could motivate IMHO using this or that skin of Avant Browser. IMHO, the best ever skin available was Office Adaptive being most balanced and therefore attractive among those still available in the latest version. Unfortunately, it has been neglected and ...
