Avant Browser

For reasons unknown Avant lost my bookmarks. I have a file which has them. I used import to bring them back. Everything went smoothly, but they don't show up when I open Bookmarks!

Occasionally when working on a page and click on something, a new page opens up on top of the one I was working on. However the back arrow is not available. I have two computers, each running the latest version of Avant, Windows 7 and Windows 10. On the Windows 10 machine I am plagued by popup ads. On Windows 7 these are very rare. Why, and can I do anything about it?

Usually I use Firefox for search engine (within Avant). However there are times when it hangs up. Switching to Chrome allows the link. Latest occurrence: watching a program on CBS tv.

Til now when I opened into any forum, including this one, the site remembered me from the past so that I did not have to log in again. With the latest Avant version I have to log in every time. What happened? I am using Firefox as my rendering engine.

Firefox latest version is 66., while Avant is using 62. When will Avant catch up??

An example. To get it, I added *.pdf to my list of items in Rendering Engine using IE11 (Avant browser options).

The problem is with trying to get .pdf files. Firefox rendering just doesn't load them. Switching to ther rendering (IE11 or Chrome) allows me to bring up the files.

Firefox browser does not have this problem, only Firefox rendering in Avant.

Both Chrome and Firefox have much newer versions than those in Avant. When is Avant going to be updated?

Related problem: At times I use the left button and shift key to open a new tab. Sometimes it opens in the background, other times in the foreground. It should always be in the foreground.

Under Avant options there are mouse options. The option I am having trouble with is using the mouse middle button to open a new tab. I have checked that I want the new tab in the foreground. Just got latest Avant update . Firefox problem remains!

I am using Chrome as my default engine and below line skin. These work OK. Firefox rendering is a little more convenient for surfing when it works.

1. Firefox rendering engine still does not work. Try to load something and it is blank.
2. Avant forum loading is very slow.

This may not be completely new, but I tested build 12 using different rendering engines. IE 11 and Chrome seem to work OK, but Firefox does not. This is an old problem. Will it ever get fixed?
