Anyway, The last time I've used Linsux was quite long ago, But I was able to run Avant through Wine but it worked really bad & unstable. I couldn't even get the online storage to work properly. Maybe something has changed since then.... I'm not going to try Linsux again anytime soon, Because Win2k8 ...

Re: [split topic] Browser speeds

Most stability issues in IE and other browsers are caused by poorly written and/or incompatible addons. Avant by default is not using any third party IE addons unless you manually enable them under the addons section in the options, That's why it's not crashing when IE is crashing. I'm able to run t...

Re: Flash/Files Fail

Clean Retail version on Win 7. Not OEM. It came with IE. My IE8 installation is pretty "fresh" though. Installed just a few weeks ago, straight after Win 7. The only "addon" as such, is Avant itself. Daily browsing is fine, until this problem pops up. What do you mean? Windows 7 came with IE8, So h...

Re: Yahoo Games

I assume that Yahoo! Games are Flash based, Am I right?
If yes, I'd try to reinstall the Flash Player.

As of IE8, At which step did it locked up your computer? Download or installation?
Try to choose during the installation to not download IE updates.

Re: [split topic] Browser speeds

Actually, in real life scenarios, use your normal websites that you normally go to. Real, working, service-oriented websites that do more than "just show stuff on the screen" are using more and more Javascript, eg. GMail, Facebook, Google Maps, etc, etc. You will easily feel and see that any Triden...
