Avant Browser

What a mess... this update has affected numerous programs including Avant. All I see is the shell... not any browser. I'm using the latest version of Ultimate 2019 build 2. Any ideas? This is happening with 2019 build 2 ultimate... using Firefox. On occasion a page clearly seems to have loaded completely... but the notice on the bottom says data is still being transferred from the site... and I'm unable to back up to the previous page using the back button OR the link to the prev...

Having a history of past websites is incredibly useful, but it's all or nothing... to let them pile up... or to delete them all. UPDATE... I now have 2017 Build 12 Ultimate... and the save HTML function STILL does not work in Firefox. It's the same problem as described in my earlier posts. But now it seems to overwrite older files... but won't create new ones.

Thanks for the reply. I only use Firefox in Ultimate. I never use IE and I routinely delete the Chrome folder... because it sometimes shows that it's active in Task Manager when I've never used it... and I don't trust Google. I've twice tried to install the newest Ultimate version over an older 2016 Build 2... and as soon as I start it up, it says there's a new version available. And when I check the version of the installed version... it's still 2016 build 2.

Problem solved. The compact view option was checked. But that still doesn't answer the question why all my browser options aren't saved so they can easily be restored.

Just a bump since no one's responded in 8 months. I'm now running Win 10 and still having the same problems. Just a quick update... this problem has resolved itself. Don't ask me why. It's not that I have Avant set for any automatic hot fixes or updates.

I only use the Avant downloader because I can enter a URL as opposed to a right click "save as". I've been downloading some videos and the Avant downloader constantly bogs down if there are more than 3 downloads. I won't be able to create a new task because the window freezes so I can't enter a file...
